How Our Intern Housing is Different…
Half a Block to Congressional Offices…
Our locations are REALLY close to where you need to be. On Capitol Hill we are located within the first residential block of the US Capitol. That means half a block to Hart, Russell and Dirksen Senate Office Buildings and within 2 blocks of Cannon, Longworth and Rayburn House Office Buildings and the Supreme Court. No walking through questionable areas to get to and from your internship.
We Only Have Private Bedrooms/Bathrooms and Studios
At Elite Intern Housing, personal space in living accommodations has always been an important part of what we offer and is what makes us different. In these times of social distancing, it is even more important and we are committed to ensuring every one of our interns and students has ample personal space.
Low Occupancy Housing
We do not believe in packing our homes as full as possible with interns for the sake of profit. It’s not good for you or the type of housing we want to be able to provide to you. Our homes never have more than 3-4 interns among the several bedrooms. Our single bedrooms have private bathrooms accessed from within the bedroom. We have never offered triple or quad bedrooms.
Housekeeping!
Cleanliness is very important to us because it matters to our interns !and students We provide a housekeeping service of all areas of the house on a monthly basis. We also provide cleaning supplies at each house.
Regarding our Rates:
What We Provide
- Complete Fexibility – Pick the weeks during the session that fit your schedule best (16 week minimum, except Summer).
- All our intern housing properties are well maintained spacious rowhouses – not cramped apartment buildings
- Single Bedrooms have their own bathrooms, en suite, and Studios have private living spaces.
- All utilities are covered including high speed WIFI throughout and Cable TV for the living room area
- Bed and bath linens are included, saving room in your luggage for professional attire
- One house cleaning per month, covering all areas of the house, additional cleanings as needed.
- Each has a private washer/dryer IN unit
- Most bedrooms have a flat screen smart TV – bring your streaming device!
- HVAC systems throughout for heat and air conditioning
- All kitchens have been updated to stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and are fully equipped with everything you need, including pots and pans
- Hardwood floors throughout and at certain locations rooms have gas fireplaces
- Private courtyards at most properties (except for studio apartments)
- Parking at most locations can be rented for $600/session on a first come first served basis
- Our commitment to be available any day or time if there are any issues
